I finally got to Heavy Love and I can say that I was not disappointed with any of it and this book was so amazing that I send it to my friend so that she can read it.
Amarie Avant has become one of my go to authors. Her stories are captivating from beginning to end, she makes you feel every emotion her characters are feeling. You can tell the mark of a good author when you're picturing scenes of a book in your head like a movie playing, I love Jelly, she was a confident, sexy BBW woman but her personal life is a wreck. She was someone who always put others or their feeling first including her loser boyfriend. I love that she threw caution to the wind and did something spontaneous and took a chance at being happy. Franco is confident, handsome, sexy, successful but have suffered a broken heart. Their relationship was about friendship, love and rebuilding trust. It was an honest adult relationship based on passion, and love. Amarie Avant is a talented storyteller and I can't wait for her upcoming releases. Wonderfully written. I would highly recommend Heavy Love.
Love the characters love the story, and the action great sex. Anything I see by author I will read. I have maybe 3 other authors I feel this way about. Keep Writing. Much success.
Heavy Love A BBW BWWM Destination Romance Another hit! This story is based on two souls who've lost love and had to survive with the heartache of it all. Jelly is not your typical character, due to her size, in a book and that it so amazing. I like that. She is beautiful, smart and sexy but unfortunately she is dating a loser. Sorry but he is. Then there is Franco a sexy Latin chef that has everything, good looks charm and money but his love life is not where it needs to be either. Their lives are vastly different as well as their inner circle but as fate would have it eventually their worlds collide. This book is about passion, empathy and friendship. I love it and cannot wait for more books from this gifted author.
Apparently I read the books out of order. That being said I enjoyed this book much better than His Melody. I liked rapport between Franco and Angelique (Jelly). Would be interested in a conclusion to their story. I know from reading His Melody they are dating.
I realized after just the first chapter that I had read this book before. I have so many ebooks, no organization system guarantees against duplication. But I am on an Amarie Avant kick right now and really enjoyed this book for the second time!
I enjoyed the characters, but their story became lost in the writing? By the 2nd chapter- I kept wanting to ditch it, but because I appreciated the writing (which is a plus with E-Books) and the characters seemed interesting I hung in there. When I got to the end I couldn't believe it. All along I kept hoping that the reason for the wordy way of explaining every little detail is because the story would be longer and she was trying to flesh it out, but to my disappointment that is not what happened. I think this author has a talent, she just needs to find that story within that will flow, so she doesn't only have to impress us with the fact that she can write, but that she can also tell a story. I have faith she can, and plan to watch her grow. So in summary - do not lose your story in the writing.
